this is a nice restaurant, and we had a fine dinner. Service was prompt and my scallops were tasty and done correctly. If you are looking for pomp and a 'statement' dinner, this isn't. But as a good place for dinner, it rates well. I don't know why "competent" should sound like a put-down but i don't think it is. And as measured against the current crop of politicians running Washington DC, competent is a treat.
