The food and service were fantastic!
JMChesterfield , MOOctober 24, 2026The restaurant is beautiful, old school NY. Wait staff is friendly, helpful and engaging. However the food I found to be below average. I have lived in NY all my life and have been to numerous steak houses, including Sparks in the long ago past. My husband had the prime sirloin which they are known for. It was a huge cut, and he said it was very good. But for the 80 dollar price I think it should be outstanding. I had the trout, it was over salted so you didn't taste the trout, just salt. We had sauteed mushrooms and mashed potatoes for sides. Potatoes were good but the mushrooms were a huge disappointment. They were hard and dried out. We had oysters and shrimp scampi and baked clams for appetizers. Maybe its the wrong month for oysters, they were not good. Shrimp and baked clams were fine. Nothing interesting or special about them. We had a slice of pecan pie for dessert. It was good but ice cold. If they warmed it up for a moment it would have been much better. There are better steak houses in NY to go to for better food and value.
